At Unity Visitation Center, Inc, we know how important it is to you that your child(ren) maintain a positive, healthy, consistent, and growing relationship with each parent - even in the face of a difficult family transition where safety and security are paramount. Traditional supervised visitation services were created for that reason. Unfortunately, some are sterile and stifling simply because of their limiting environment. Imagine for a moment that you can provide the same level of safety and offer your child the ability to have those visits at a local theme park with Mom, at the batting cages with Dad, or their favorite restaurant with their grandparents.
Please take a look at our site to find out more information. The resources available on our website can be used by anyone in need, so please feel free to use them as a resource or forward a link to someone you know who might use them. While they are open to the public, our services are dedicated to parents of children in transition. If you are willing or interested in becoming a part of our team, please contact us today. If you can support us or sponsor a fundraiser to further our mission of protecting children and reuniting families, please donate now.
Unity Visitation Center, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that was established to provide supervised visitation for non-custodial parents in an atmosphere that promotes safe, positive, and productive interactions between children and parents.
It is a place where children are protected, and parents are encouraged to interact with them in healthy ways. Our goal is to keep the parent-child attachment intact, to prevent feelings of abandonment, and to give parents an opportunity to spend time with their children so they can bond. No parent wants to find themselves in a situation that calls for a supervised visitation arrangement; however, when that occurs, Unity Visitation Center, Inc. provides children with conflict-free access to both of their parents.
Supervised Visitation
-
Supervised visitation is defined as contact between the non-custodial parent and one or more children in the presence of a neutral third party. Supervised visitation is the provision of a secure, neutral location in which visitation between families can occur that is monitored and documented thoroughly.
Neutral Exchange
-
Neutral exchange is the provision of a secure, neutral location at which parties can drop off and pick up their children for visitation. Many times, it’s better to avoid any contact between the custodial parent or guardian and the non-custodial parent. In these situations, we supervise the transfer of a child from one entity to another, acting as the neutral drop-off/pick-up person at the start of the contact. Then, we make sure that the child is safely exchanged.
Many couples choose to use our services because it is less stressful for them and their child(ren). It does not need to be mandatory.
Virtual Visitation
-
Virtual Visitation is the provision where all parties are connected through technology and the monitor is present on the video conference call.
Technology can help to bridge many gaps, including those between a child and a non-custodial parent. Although nothing is as good as seeing a child in-person, virtual visitation offers the next best thing and is recognized and utilized by many states for both non-custodial parents and even grandparents.
